TEXT FROM THE BACK COVER

Timeless Tasmania is the second book by Tasmanian landscape photographer Luke O’Brien following his first book “Tasmania A Photographic Journey”, published in 2018.

Timeless Tasmania is a celebration of all things wild and beautiful about Tasmania. The emphasis is on magical landscapes that are somehow both timeless and ancient yet incredibly fragile and delicate and in need of our care and attention.

From the remote South West to offshore islands in Bass Strait; from beloved Cradle Mountain to an iconic coastline that includes Wineglass Bay, the Bay of Fires and the stunning sea cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula and Bruny Island; from the rainforests of the Tarkine to the tall trees and waterfalls of Mt Field, the book will take the reader on a journey through Tasmania’s most beautiful landscapes.

The reader will also enjoy chapters on the Southern Lights and night sky, as well as some very special images of Tasmania’s most unique natural treasures such as the “Turning of the Fagus”, fantastic autumn fungi and Australia’s tallest trees.

“Thank you for being a part of my ongoing Tasmanian journey”

The chapters are as follows:

Mountain Light

Turning of the Fagus

Cradle Mountain and the Overland Track

Aurora Australis

Rainforest & Waterfalls

Australia’s Tallest Trees

Fantastic Fungi

Seascapes

If you are a retailer I’d love to hear from you too about stocking the book, or you can place an order through Blackgum Distribution too.
