Sunrise Bay of Fires

Sunrise in the Bay of Fires is pretty much the main goal of my Bay of Fires photography workshops (the next of which – FYI – is running from October 23-26).

This morning back in January started out innocently enough, perhaps even quite plainly to be honest, but pretty quickly blossomed into one of the best I have seen up that way 🙂

Early on the grey clouds were dominating. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as grey, moody clouds can look great as waves crash in the low, even light. However as the morning went on, some fiery light started to appear on the horizon.

…and it only got better…

Some showers started to fall and we were tempted to pack up, but the sky’s hold on us was unrelenting, we were powerless to leave as we watched the show unfold!

About my Photography Workshops

The tours I run are all small group experiences – ranging from private tours for 1 or 2 guests only, through to small group tours of a maximum of 4 or 6 (depending on location).

During any given trip I share all my favourite locations with guests, and cover all the necessary tips and tricks re camera settings. We shoot together and compare images as we go and I provide feedback and suggestions at all times. Generally speaking, we have a grand ol’ time – if you have been thinking about a trip please shoot me a message, I’d love to have you come along!
