The Edge of the World at Arthur River on Tasmania’s west coast is a landscape as dramatic as its name implies. I was up there at the end of October to photograph orchids and made sure to spend some time on this wild coastline hoping for some nice light, and boy was I rewarded!
Things were certainly looking promising for sunset as I found my location and got set up at the Edge of the World
The thick line of cloud in an otherwise mostly clear sky was catching all of the suns last light, all I had to do was pick my composition…
and thar she blows! An amazing sunset, captured with my 10 stop filter. Beautiful colours and water, and the jagged rocks around Arthur River, and it all worked out just right 🙂
After the main shot, there was still plenty of colour lingering, and I took a few shots without the 10-stopper.
Well after the fire had left the sky there were still very nice hues left. A great night on the west coast, and just what I was hoping for!
