Cradle Mountain Snow Day

Back in June I took a couple of guests from Singapore to Cradle Mountain for a 3 day photo trip and we were lucky enough to experience a delightful winter wonderland!

On our final morning, we woke early to see snow all over the car and the vegetation around the hotel but luckily the roads were clear and we drove into Dove Lake for a sunrise attempt.

It was incredibly cold and windy but the scene was wonderful. So much so that we went back in after checking out and visited Waldheim where the rainforest was coated in a fresh white powder, like icing sugar.

Cradle Mountain is perhaps the destination I’ve been to the most over the years and it may sound cliched but it never fails to disappoint. Even after all these years I get great joy out of visiting and showing guests around. There is always something new and different to see, even in the most familiar of landscapes and of course you never know exactly what kind of light and weather conditions you’re going to get until you arrive and start exploring.

I’ll be setting 2025 tour dates soon but for now my 3 day private trips can be booked on demand, all year round.
