Wild Island Gallery Tasmania
For those interested in Tasmanian photography and keen to view the newest works from many of the islands most well respected landscape and wilderness photographers – the new Wild Island gallery is a a must see. As well as displaying photography, the gallery is aiming to become something of a hub for nature based activities and appreciation, including workshops and information evenings. For all info on this exciting new venture visit the Wild Island Tasmania site.
I am quite happy to announce too that the gallery is also displaying and stocking a selection of my images, and I would encourage everyone to visit and view some stunning Tasmanian landscape photography. The opening exhibition is a tribute to perhaps the grand-father of Tasmanian wilderness photography – Peter Dombrovskis. Half the gallery is currently dedicated to a selection of his images, painstakingly prepared and printed by Simon Olding, one of the photographers responsible for making the gallery a reality. Rob Blakers, and Loic LeGuilly are equally involved.
Wild Island Gallery – Opening Night Photos
The gallery opened its doors to the public on October 10. Here is a selection of images from the evening at which Simon, Rob, Chris Bell and Bob Brown all spoke.
